The Victorian Department of Human Services, Housing Division and the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) invite you to attend the 6th National Housing Conference in Melbourne from 24 to 27 November 2009.
The theme for this year’s conference is
Housing in a new era: building the connections
The event will provide a platform for exploring the essential connections between housing, people, place, community and nation. Recent events in Victoria have sharpened our focus on the importance of a home to people’s social, economic, spiritual and physical well-being. The conference will also propose innovative solutions and partnerships to lead Australia’s approach to housing policy reform into the future. A number of international guests will provide insights on how similar challenges are being addressed overseas. With the housing landscape changing and impacting on all Australians, the conference is a ‘must attend’ event for all those involved in Australia’s housing policy and practice – including people working in government, non-profit housing organisations and the private sector. We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in November. |
